Next Stop: Cuba!

Like seemingly every other blogger, I'm headed to Cuba! (No, but really, why is everybody and their mama in either Morocco or Cuba right now? Did I miss something?) I leave on Saturday, 2/4, and will be staying in the heart of La Habana Vieja (Old Havana) for 6 full days. Also, I spent exactly $377.00 on the entire trip (flight, housing + Cuban visa), so there'll be a huge blog post to come about how I finessed that.

I'm so, so, SO excited. It's been a while since I've spoken Spanish, but I think it'll come back as soon as I start practicing again. For the past few weeks, I've been researching my ass off, as well as hitting up friends, friends-of-friends, and random strangers (no, but really, this song is essentially about me, except that I'm asking for Cuba recommendations, not nudes...) for suggestions. I'm going with my sista-friend, Maris, and I've been sending her colorful photo after photo with captions like, "omg" or "PLEASE." I'm clearly ready.

I've been talking about traveling to Cuba since my freshman year of college and I'm so amazed that it's finally coming into fruition. This trip is going to be huge. No internet, no cell phone service, just a beautiful country, one of my closets friends, and entirely giving into our adventurous spirits for six full days.

Have you been? Where should I go? What should I do? Your recommendations are super appreciated!
